Can we go anywhere besides the store or the dentist? No. Can we still look gorgeous doing it? Well yes, ma’am we can! If 2020 has taught me anything, it’s that anything can be an occasion. It’s all about your mindset. Here are five fall outfits I wouldn’t mind wearing to get my wisdom teeth pulled.

  1. Blazer, Bandanas, Bangles, Oh My!

There are so many amazing things occurring in this look, but it’s the accessories that are bringing the look home. I’ve been thrifting a lot of bandanas/silk scarves lately because they really tie (see what I did there?) outfits together. In this outfit, basics are key. A tan blazer, a black top, basic jeans, but the accessories are what make the outfit look put together. Anytime your outfit feels meh, add some necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Don’t sleep on accessories!

2. Don’t Shy Away from Bright Sweaters

So you may be thinking, what’s so special about sweaters? Isn’t autumn the season of dreary colors? Well to answer the first one, are you crazy?! Sweaters are the best thing about the cold weather season. Not only do they make you look like you spent more than two minutes on your outfit, but they also are a sneaky way to be very comfy. Can you say Zoom meetings? And to the second question, NO! I love brown, orange, and black, but you don’t have to limit your wardrobe to just these colors during autumn. Pink sweaters like the one above add a pop of color and a sense of style. Pair with some black leather pants, black boots, and you’ve got a fall look!

3. Plaid is Key!

I love plaid patterns. They make me feel so academic and east coast-girl. More than anything, I love throwing on plaid pants to add some oomph to a basic outfit. A black tank top alone is boring, but throw on some plaid pants and you look like a woman who has her life together. It’s ok, we can keep fooling them— one pair of plaid pants at a time.

4. Baby Handbags

These handbags scream “my parents pay for everything, so I don’t need to carry a real purse”, BUT they are adorable! I am a sucker for dainty accessories and little purses make me feel so petite and feminine. Match them to your shoes and honey, you look like a million bucks! Seriously though, I’ve been seeing these little purses all over Instagram and I just think they are a unique way to add something extra to your outfit. Pick one up at Target or if you want to be sustainable—THRIFT!

5. Regina George Mini Skirts

I’m really loving these high school cheerleader skirts I’ve been seeing. I never thought I would miss my catholic school days (and I don’t), but the plaid pleated skirts were way ahead of their time. now that they’re back, (and I don’t have a strict dress code to adhere to) I am loving the A-line silhouette and the dimension they add to an outfit. Instead of jeans, add a little something extra by swapping in a miniskirt.

Thanks for taking a look at some of my fall favorites. With all this time to self-reflect, I’ve been inspired to up my fashion-game (in a sustainable way) and to dress in a way that makes me happy. Even if none of these trends appeal to you, I suggest you try to experiment with your style a bit. Make sure that your closet is full of clothes that you love. This doesn't have to be an expensive endeavor. Most of my newest clothes are thrifted. The key is to find quality pieces that are authentic to you.

Let me know in the comments what trends I missed.
